Oral Wart
An oral wart is caused by the same virus family that causes lichen sclerosus and a vaginal wart.
Diagnosis of this condition can be confirmed by biopsy and microscopic examination. In some cases they may solitarily disappear. Even with medical treatment usually involving one of the following: surgical excision, cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen) or laser vaporization, treatment may take several visits and reoccurrence is still possible.

Risks of oral HPV are not clear. Prevalence has increased since highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) emerged, especially for women using HAART, even though abnormal cervical lesions diminished. Populations with HPV rectal lesions and density of viral particles in the blood (viral load) have greater chances of oral manifestations.
